Basic Furniture Polish

1/2 cup sweet almond oil
1 tablespoon Wheat germ oil
1 tablespoon melted beeswax
2 tablespoons red turkey oil
several drops essential oil (optional)

Mix all of the ingredients together to create a great moisturizing polish for dry wood that does not have a heavy wax finish. (If your furniture has a heavy wax or polypropylene finish, then use the light polish.) Choose one of the variations below to customize your polish.

For a lemon polish, add 3-5 drops of lemon essential oil

For a balsam oil polish, add 3-5 drops of fir or balsam essential oil

For a "rejuvenating" polish, add 3-5 drops of cedar oil

For a rosemary/juniper oil polish, add 2 drops of each essential oil

Other essential oils can be used to create an fragrance you like, but be sure not to add more than 5-6 drops because the essential oils are strong enough to work as a solvent and could dissolve your wood finish if used in excess.

Light Polish for Heavily Waxed or Polished Wood Surfaces

1/2 cup linseed oil
1/4 cup white vinegar
essential oil

Mix together and shake prior to using. Add 2-3 drops of an essential oil if desired. Shelf life: approximately 6 months.
